Live Painting at TEDxSantaCruz

On March 8, 2014 at the Hotel Paradox I made TEDxSantacruz my studio where the presenters and conference goers were my muse.  

The theme was "Activate" and activated I was.  A few times I found myself crying while I was painting and I allowed the paint to glop and drip.  At other times I was engrossed in thought, tracing the lines of graphs, the movement of bugs and the designs of urban planning.  I was inspired by everything from the potential of meditation and technology to water conservation and purification using a sustainable for profit model.  I was struck by the courage of explorers, the open hearts and hopeful perspectives of so many.  I was entranced by the music, dance and poetry.  Aliza Weller left me with a model of aspiration instead of ambtion: I breath my way through life while sharing all of who I am.  See the bios of the presenters here.
