My recent work explores what happens when I create in public and when I delve deep inside.
I continue to take risks. Through the Creative Witnessing Project, I paint on sites where violence has occured and where people struggle to find hope.
And in the studio my brush creates new layers on old canvases. I create personal landscapes that surprise me. Sometimes figures arrive—some underneath and others on the surface— that are figments of the interactions that I witness. I am grateful for each and every connection.
